Drug Science Medical Cannabis Educational Seminar

This evening seminar, hosted by Drug Science, made possible through an unrestricted educational grant from Althea, will address the barriers that exist to prescribing medical cannabis. Including how to overcome the process of obtaining prescriptions. It will include information on its efficacy, and how to obtain certified supplies.

Delegates will learn:

-A history of cannabis as a medicine

-How the Endocannabinoid system works

-What we can learn from the Health Canada experience

-The current UK regulatory position

-The current levels of scientific evidence in a range of diagnoses

-Practical steps in relation to prescribing

Chill Welfare has a range of volunteer roles available and are looking to recruit people with clinical experience such as nursing or people with drug & alcohol, mental health and sexual health experience to offer support and advice via a 24 hour festival welfare service. We will be working at Download, Nozstock, Boomtown and Creamfields. We provide event ticket, travel expenses and food in exchange for one shift each day of the festival.
